Measure Arbitrary Distance in Cross Section... how?

I have a cross section analysis that cuts right through the middle of my part, and I would like to measure the thickness of a particular area within the cross-section (see attached). 

There are no selection points available that I can grab that will will give me this measurement.  Is there a way to do it?

Not from a section.

There are other ways to work it out, dependent on how it was made.

create a sketch, use Project -> Intersect, choose type of Body, this will produce sketch geometry of that section, and you can measure (or even dimension) that.
