McMaster-Carr not importing

Hello,

Is anyone having problems importing from the Insert>McMaster-Carr tool? Every time I attempt to import a model it will not open the application inside Fusion. It appears that it is actually beginning the program but it is just invisible in the middle of the screen. I can scroll over where I believe things should be from their website and it displays options but they are just invisible.

This is the first attempt at importing files from McMaster; it is also a relatively new download of Fusion. I needed assistance and was having problems with my graphics and found the fix. Preferences>General>Graphics Driver>DirectX9.

Will McMaster -Carr still work with this graphics settings?

Thank you

If I set DirectX 9, the McMaster-Carr application within Fusion 360 works fine.  I will remind you that your graphic settings in Preferences is important but up-to-date graphic card drivers as just as important.

I have no other suggestions except you can go to the McMaster-Carr website and download your components there and then open them in Fusion 360.  Not the best but you can at least get the components you desire.  If the application opens a box on the screen but the contents are not visible, then it has to be a graphics issue.  Have you restarted your computer lately?

I have not but I will after your suggestion. What file type do I need to download it as? It seems all the types I have downloaded are not the proper one.

Thank you again

I prefer STEP.  Remember, once you open the STEP file, you should save it as an external component then bring it into your assembly and Break the Link if needed.  This will make it a component in your top level assembly.  This is what the internal app does.
