Mac middle mouse button working inconsistently

I picked up Fusion 360 after a break, and it seems something's wrong with the UI code.

As you know, the middle button is used a lot for e.g. rotating of the model (with shift). With this version (2.0.8950) using it is NOT consistent. Sometimes, instead of activating the rotation the right-click menu gets activated. I even have things selected from the pie menu, without knowing what got selected. It's a bit tedious, and destructive at worst.

Other times, the zooming changes, though neither panning or rotation (normal middle button functions) should affect it.

Question: Are others experiencing this? Is it a known thing?

System details:

macOS 10.15.6; wired USB mouse

This leads to e.g. unintended "undo"s.

I'd just like to know if this is a common problem with 2.0.8950 on Mac. Even if it works for you, please drop a line.

For me, it's completely reproducible and leads to: right click menu, scaling, selection square.

Seems this has left me. Pheew...

It was either uninstalling the Unifying driver (didn't need it), or update to Fusion 360 2.0.9006. Closing.

Nope. Still there.

I think it's a hardware problem.
