I am trying to make a vacuum table for my router, which naturally uses a lot of holes.
I am trying to create a 48" x 48" board, with 1" hole spacings (47 x 47 holes).
Fusion 360 grinds to a halt, using 100% of a CPU core for a long time just to make the rectangular pattern (of just a circle)
Then, when selecting them for extrusion, it also grinds to a halt. To select the ~2,209 circles, it takes several minutes. It crashed a few times trying to do that if I was impatient. Extruding took another several minutes.
Why is this so hard for fusion? It's instant to select a single hole or a few holes, but takes several long minutes to do the entire board.
On top of that, Manufacturing was bugging out and I select geometry or anything to drill. I eventually gave up on it
What should I be doing? How do people make things with tons of holes in them?
