Loss of functionality within F360 - no equation driven curves

Hi, I was just wondering whether fusion will restore equation driven curves as a function on Fusion 360 (sorry if they are already there and I have missed it). There used to be an app for them (see 1:25 on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nF1SLuktIg), and it's also something that SolidWorks has had for quite a while (at least over 5 years: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-aE5ovqa5Mc). I am wondering if this loss of functionality is aiming to be rectified, as the feature can be very useful for creating precise geometry, or funky/repeating patterns. I really like F360 and have found it by far and away the easiest/quickest CAD software to use, and would love for this feature to be re-implemented.

Regards

Sebastian

Autodesk Inventor Professional has equation curves functionality.

Has had this functionality for many years.

Inventor 2024 Help | Equation Curve Formula Reference | Autodesk

Thanks for the reply, I didn't know that, and that is interesting. Do you think they will import it to F360, as that is the software that I currently use. It seems like quite an easy thing to implement if they've already got it on inventor.

They won't.

A few years ago, Autodesk "informed" its users, Fusion 360 would take gradually over, and Inventor was going to be faced out. To me, it looks a big mistake since Fusion is not at all ready to take over. Equation Curves, Sheet Metal, FEA, and of course iLogic are just a few examples.

But big corporations, usually make decisions; that sometimes makes them close.
