Logitech MX Master Mouse Issues

Just to mention first, I commented on another post and got some information first, the post is - https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/mouse-scrolling-not-zooming-in-out-after-april-upd...

So I have updated the mouse via Logitec dashboard for mac OS, also applied a small update to my mac.

I have entered the Quick setup menu and tried each of the options for set up, the trackpad on the mac works correctly and if I select inventor and press fn+f3+left mouse I can zoom and with f4 I can orbit.

The original setup was similar to that in "other" which would be shift+press roller (middle mouse button) and orbit or rotation of roller would be zoom. The zoom doesn't work with any option and the orbit doesn't work with the middle mouse button.

I have tried changing the use of the roller as a button but no change, roll still pans up and down instead of zoom and click does nothing.

I am trying to locate another mouse to see if it continues but haven't yet.

Double click on the middle mouse (roller) zooms to all as it should.

While writing and confirming what I have tried, I noticed that with the quick menu setup window open, when I double click to zoom all it works, and orbit with shift plus middle button works but zoom doesn't. However, when I close the quick setup menu it no longer works.

Sorry for the long post/question/issue but can anyone help with this? the only other thing i can think to do is delete Fusion and reinstall. Thanks in advance

A further update, this morning I have changed the small USB dongle for another just to see if there is an issue with this. The issues remain.

Also, I forgot to put in the original post, even though my window scrolls up and down if I roll the mouse wheel, when I try to do the same to search through my items on the data panel it doesn't scroll at all, I need to use the slide bar to move up and down.

Update:-

I have 2 screens, one a mac screen and the 2nd, the mac itself.

currently I have fusion on one screen and outlook (but could be anything) on the other. If the window in the second screen is active a grey bar appears across the bottom of the fusion screen which is the text commands area currently for me. This normally shows me the window isn't active.

But in this state, I can press the shift key and middle mouse button and orbit my part. when the window is active I cant.

Were you ever able to sort this out? Recently purchased an Mx Master 3 and I cannot orbit or do anything normally with the middle mouse button. I get a few frames of thinking/pinwheel then it switches to the tool but doesn't react to mouse position. It's very bizarre.

I just want to comment to mention that I have the exact same issue. Really disappointing. Is there any solution to this? Maybe using a different Middle Button keystroke assignment in the Logitech Options software?

In the end it was either updating drivers or rebooting that fixed it for me, so have hope. It's been working fine for weeks now.

I was able to solve the issue I was having.

Reason: Unknown

Process: Uninstall Fusion 360 & Logitech Options software + reboot laptop

As you can see, it's not clear why it was solved or what caused the issue, but the compatibility problems that I had with the middle button are gone.
