Local render keeps disappearing

I'm having an issue where my local renders will start and then disappear as if I never started them. This has happened to me twice today, where I'll start the render, I'll see it processing in the render gallery, I go work in another Fusion tab, I come back and the render is gone from the gallery. Funny enough, other renders in the queue on different projects will go on as if the missing render has completed.

Any help with this would be appreciated, this is starting to lose me a lot of time.

Edit: Attempt 3 at rendering the same file I get a specified rendering could not be found in the gallery. Attaching screenshots.

Have you tried restarting your computer yet?

Sorry to hear that you are facing this issue. Reading the post it appears that you are facing this issue only for this design? Are other designs creating the renders correctly?

Would also like to peak into the log files to see if it captures any of the local rendering (not sure if it will but we certainly want to start there). Help->Support & Diagnostics -> Diagnostics log files should generate a zip file that you you attach.

I restarted between try 2 and try 3. Typically it's my go to Fusion fix.

That is correct, I've only experienced this issue with this design. From what I could tell other files were not affected, although I haven't really tested any other files. Another file was in the render queue behind the file with the issue and that rendered, but I hadn't tried another stand alone render. The file with the issue does have some light emiting objects as well as glass and previously had a mirrored surface (boss had me re-render without the mirror), so not the easiest render.

I've attached the .zip file! My current work around is to just use the in-canvas render, but that is difficult to use when multitasking since it has to be open to work. Hopefully this is a one time issue, but it was very frustrating in the moment, thank you for your help!

Thanks for letting us know the issue about Local Render. Would you please try below steps to help us narrow down the issue?

  • If F5 to refresh "Rendering Gallery" helps when the local render result lost?
  • Please try the same workflow in offline mode to see if the rendered images disappear again.

  • Would you please help us to get the render log from %temp%\Neutron\RenderProcess.log ?
  • As you only experienced the issue with this design, can you share it to us? We will only use it internally on bug reproducing.

Regards,
Sally

Hey, sorry it took so long to respond to this. I've since encountered the same issue with a different file. I am attaching both.

F5 doesn't seem to do anything in the rendering gallery.

I just tried rendering in offline mode and the render still disappears after starting.

I'm not sure how to find that .log file, happy to send it if you can tell me where I can find it. I'm attaching the .zip diagnostic log generated by the program.

Thank you.

Edit: I've gotten the file tex2 v1, to render on a PC. Perhaps this issue has to do with Mac OS or my individual machine?

Thanks for your additional information.

I tried with your files, but I still can't reproduce the issue mentioned above

Would you please help to get the render.log from below path:

If you are working on Windows:

  • Win+R to launch "Run" window
  • Paste "%temp%\Neutron\" in the edit box and click OK

If you are working on Mac:

  • Launch Terminal
  • Run "Open $TMPDIR/Neutron" in terminal

Then you will find "RenderProcess.log" there. Please also kindly let us know what time you encountered this issue so we can easily locate to the right log. Thanks a lot!

Regards,
Sally

Thank you very much! Really appreciate your help.

After looked into the log, we found the rendering process was terminated by some unknown issue that may relate to the model rendered. Could you share this model to us?

Sally

Absolutely - but I don't want to share the model publicly. Do you have another way for me to send?

Thanks for your response!

Would you please follow my reply in this post to help us get the RenderProcess.log?

And also share us the model that can reproduce this issue if it's a model specific issue. Thanks a lot!

Sally

Hello @SallyYang, thank you for replying. The problem happens to all my designs new and old.

When I go to render with local render Fusion either crashes or once opening the rendering gallery no renders are displayed and I get the message " the specified rendering could be found."

The same thing happens with in-canvas Fusion crashes and I have to reopen the program.

Attached are (2) logs and design file .

@jmaddenf04  Hi glad to see @SallyYang  is looking into the render problem.

I am here because I noticed you mentioned crashing repeatedly. Looking in the crash reporting system there are no reports from you. Do you ever see this dialog when Fusion crashes?

Okay, I didn't find any reports using the email associated with your forum login. If you sent them without an email address I can't find them. Please let me know if you can get a CER number after sending a report. If I have the report number I can track it down.

@Phil.E  It happened again and I submitted the report but it did not give me the CERID number. It should be under stol@ftcinstall.com
