Linking parameters between solid and sheet metal

Hi, I have a design using parameters to draw a solid part and I want to use some of those parameters to draw a sketch on the flat pattern of a sheet metal part in the same file. When I look at the sheet metal parameters the list is empty is there a way to use the parameters I set up for the solid?

You are correct, model parameters are not available in Sheet Metal Flat Pattern mode.  I assume you are trying to show a secondary cut to the flat pattern layout.  You can however create an Unfolder sheet metal body and create a sketch on this that WILL accept model parameters.  After you create your sketch, and the feature you want from it on the unfolded body, refold it and then create your flat pattern ready for your drawing.
