Just had a file corrupt in the oddest way

I exported a file from coworkers computer and it was corrupted when I loaded it into my seat. I then try to re export it and same thing. So I figure maybe he hasn't saved and the export is an older version. When I go to save it deletes a model and the sketches associated with the model. So I'm like okay well under the list of versions it looks like he's saved every 10 mins so I'll just roll it back. All of the previous versions are corrupted. How is that even possible?

Your file seems to open up alright for me.  It does not have Design History turned on and there are a lot of toolpaths that need generating but it seems OK.  I have attached it from my system for you to try.

Yeah. Those tool paths were linked to a separate model in the same workspace. We were making an insert so that we could grip the part without crushing it. The model is gone and any sketches that went with it. Sadly I have no way of showing you the model or the sketches but yes the file opens up for me. The real weird thing is that it eased those elements from every save point. It was 8 hours of work. I'd be happy just knowing how to avoid this in the future.

So his seat of fusion auto updated this morning to the latest version. Mine auto updated a day earlier than his. I'm going to assume that this is the cause. It would be nice if the updates were slightly more transparent instead of a background process that I'd have to go out of my way to look for. That way we could always make sure they are up to date and something weird isn't happening. Maybe even an email notification.
