I am having two related issues with a rotary joint.

First the joint's angle will not accept a user input value, but will accept values from the hamburger menu to the right.

Second I can not escape from the user input field until the value is changed.  Hitting either enter or escape fails to close the input field. To close the field the value must be changed via the menu on the right side of the user input field or dragging the angle indicator.

Hi acr!

So....I just tested rotational joints on my system, based on your description and I couldn't reproduce any of what you are expiriencing. I have a few questions and one guess at what could be causing it:

  1. Are we talking about "regular joints" or "as-designed joints"? I can't imagine that they would behave differently, but it is worth checking. Can you build the joint with both types and see if it behaves the same with both kinds of joints?
  2. Does this happen with all your joints? Have you tried other joint types to see if they are wonky too?
  3. What about other files? Can you create a new file (just a quick tester) and see if it happens there? Does it happen only on old files?
  4. If possible - does it happen on other computers too? You might not be able to test this, but if your can without too much trouble, it can help pin the problem down.

In general - I'm looking to find out if this is a function-specific problem, a model-specific problem, or a computer specific problem. If we know that, it narrows where we need to fix a probelm considerably.

And here is my guess: Are you perhaps using an unsupported operating system like Windows 7? I'm not a Mac guy, so I don't know my way around those, but there are some that Fusion no longer supports - and there have been some somewhat recent changes to what we support due to the OS companies dropping support for some older operating systems. You might want to check the list of supported OSs.

The issue you are expiriencing looks similar to other issues where dimensions can't properly be entered...and these are a result of people trying to use Fusion with Windows 7. It is only a guess at this point though.
