Just starting to get into Fusion 360 and attempting my first more complex model, so appologies in advance if i am missing something simple.
I am creating a model which will be 3D printed, however i am stuck on trying to give the surfaces some thickness (2mm to the outside). The loft and the extrudes seem to both work fine however when i attempt to give the lofted surface some thickness i get one of a few errors depending on what method i use.
If i select all 3 surfaces at once and try to thicken them, i get "There was a problem joining geometry"
If i thicken each suface individually it works ok, however when i try to combine i get the same error as above.
If i first stitch all surfaces together and then try to thicken i get an error " The operation could not create a valid result."
I belive i can see the problem, the thicken of the lofted suface isnt parallel to the other body i want to join it to but i have no idea why. If i do a section analysis i can see a tiny v-shaped gap that i am unable to work out how to resolve. I have tried adding perpendicular contraints to my rails but it doesnt seem to help so i must be missing something.
I have attached the model if anybody has any ideas. Thanks in advance.
