Yes last week came again one software update.

Again doing very simple fem simulations and first simulations seems to go through similar manner. now  if I change the model little bit I have to take program down and restart to make the next simulation round and even that does not help everytime.

Anyone else having similar experiences?

I would be so happy customer if I could download the latest version where FEM simulations were done in my own computer/processor. Up to that point everything worked really well. After that each update has made the program much worse at least for me. Slower more errors etc. So in one year nothing good has come.

In other programs you can choose when you want to update to newer version or you can go even back to previous if new version is not running like it should.

You can control updates, up to a point.  Read this article.

The "real" problem is that the Fusion 360 removed functionality (local FEM solve) and moved it to the cloud.

Quite a few users have reported slow cloud solve times here on the forum. It seems that there are other problems related to FEM in the cloud. The OP should not have to close and re-start Fusion 360 to perform with another simulation

@Phil.E is this something you can check into?

Add fake 0,1mm roundings. then save, then Run one simulation. Take system down and start from beginning. Is this really how this latest update makes things better?

I am at the moment calculating simples form of FEM single beam...

My current estimation is that every 5th simulation goes through and it is still same model which has errors in other simulations. I would curse but I know in this case it wont help me.

Old version with my own computer calculating would have nailed this through in under 10 seconds now it takes hours to get one result.

If you always delete your previous load study the new one seems to go through with one try. No booting needed this way. So far best solution I have been able to figure out. Ofcourse its not so easy if the setup is difficult to select all forces and fixtures...

Hi @vesa.tiainen is this still happening?

If so, could you attach the diagnostic log files after it happens?

Our apologies for the inconvenience this is causing.

Hi @vesa.tiainen,

We've submitted a fix for this that will be available soon. In the meantime, there is an easier workaround:
1. After the change is made in Design and saved, go back to Simulation
2. For any study to be re-solved, suppress then unsuppress a load or constraint, then Save

3. Send the study to solve
