iOS app missing layers?

I’ve looked through the entire iOS app, and I can’t figure out how to show layers that are not showing in the model or in the layer tree. Tapping “Show All” does not show the missing layers. It’s like any layers that I had turned off when I last saved the project on the desktop version are completely invisible to the iOS app… but then I think surely autodesk wouldn’t overlook such a glaringly obvious flaw like that… right??

Where are these layers hiding? I’m in the field and I need to see the entire drawing, I can’t go back to my PC at the moment.

Hey There,

Layers are supported in Fusion 360 Mobile.  We also will respect the layer visibility as it was saved for the dwg file.  I have created a couple quick videos showing how to access the layer control.

Saving a dwg file with layers turned off

Thanks. As I said in my original message, I can't show the layers ("Show All" or "click the lightbulb") because some layers actually don't exist at all in the mobile app. Or maybe this is the wrong terminology? Should I be saying "Components" and "Bodies"?

It seems like if I save a Fusion document on desktop with some layers hidden (shortcut "V") then those layers aren't simply hidden when I open the same document on iOS... the layers are completely invisible/inaccessible on iOS Fusion. They are not shown in the layer browser as you demonstrated in your video, thus there is no lightbulb to toggle on/off. Why?

I will attach some photos. I'm designing a deck, and I have everything saved in a "layer" called "Deck". When I hide this on the desktop version of Fusion and save it, the layer "Deck" is completely missing when I load the same drawing on the iOS Fusion. There's no lightbulb to click because it doesn't exist (and no it's not scrolled off the bottom of the screen). This doesn't make any logical sense why it would be designed this way, to make layers/objects/whatever completely inaccessible on the iOS version simply because I had temporarily hidden it when I last saved the document on the desktop version.

Ah, thanks for the details.  I did a little digging and what you are experiencing is how it works today, unfortunately.  We should absolutely support showing components regardless of how they have been saved in Fusion 360.  This isn't just a mobile app gap, this behavior is the same for viewing in Fusion Team web viewer.

I have documented this gap for both mobile and Fusion Team web viewer.

So, you will need to turn all of your components on in Fusion 360 to have control over the visibility in the mobile app.

Three years later, I’m wondering if there’s actually any progress on fixing this. I only just encountered this bug for the first time today because I’ve never saved a file with layers hidden then looked in the app to demo it before. But it appears it’s been an issue for a long time. Help?
