Hi there.

Firstly, totally new to CAD and Fusion 360, so please excuse any ignorance.  I'm using Fusion 360 on a Mac (just for background).  I have two files, one called pipework the other called mix tank.  I am trying to insert Pipework into the current design, but own I do the file is incorrect (i.e. several items are orientated incorrectly and positioned wrong).

I have cleared cache (from the menu) but nothing seems to fix it.  When I look online at the file, it appears correct, it's only when I attempt to insert it into another drawing that it inserts incorrectly.

Here is a screen shot of the drawing.:

Anybody got an idea as to why this is happening and more importantly how to fix it?

Thanks

Chris

Here's a bit if irony!  If I right click on the Pipework file and select "New Drawing from Design" it works perfectly.  Go figure.

Hi,

1. A drawing is a derivation of 2D views of the design

2. Please share the file for reply

Break link of inserted designs (chainsymbol) >rightclick > break link

File > export > save as f3d on local drive > attach to post

Hi there Gunther.

After 24h it appears to have righted itself.  I followed your steps to break links and just thought I would check again to see if it's doing the same thing, but now it's inserting the correct drawing.  I made sure I cleared caches etc. and synced (I checked online version of the drawing and it was correct, so I don't know why time has corrected the issue.  Do you know if there's a 'lag' between saving a file and syncing, and when the file fully updates?  Given it now works, I don't want to waste your time (and I appreciate your time responding).  I ran this process a dozen times on Friday on two different laptops and ended with the same result, so not sure why it's now fixed but I'll take it!

Thank you

Chris
