I am trying to extrude from this sketch and every time I try to, I get this error and it doesn't let me. Any help? Thanks!

Are any of the sketch elements for this extrude from a projected line element? I had to redraw some of the sketches manually without using a projected sketch element and then it worked. This may be a sketch line properties bug introduced in the last update on 27Nov involving projected sketch elements lines and curves..

One trick is to use the original sketch and attempt to use "TWO SIDES" on the extrusion. For some reason that has seemed to work for me on a few occasions when I have got this error.

A failsafe way is to make a new sketch on a new plane that has the same geometry as the original, and attempt to extrude that.

I had an issue where extrude failed on a particular sketch.. I edited and drew the geometry by hand and attempted to extrude and it failed again.

I went to a new sketch, drew the geometry by hand, and was able to successfully extrude the geometry on that particular body.

I ran into another extrude related failure where redrawing the sketch on the body plane failed.. I solved it by making a new plane that was offset from the original plane, and redrew the geometry, and then the extrude was successful.

I figured it out. Since it was an STL with a LOT of trianlges, a lot of the faces I was trying to cut were almost coincidence with the part that was cutting them, leading to this error. I actually was able to deduce this when I instead extruded my geometry as a body, then tried to boolean combine to take my cut and it told me the faces were too close to coincidence. To fix this I just put a 0.001" offset on my cutting body and it worked!

You prlly could have used the offset plane-sketch trick also. It would have done roughly the same thing. Glad you got it!
