Improve your Fusion Experience - Privacy?

Quick and hopefully easy question.  Started up Fusion this morning and the following popped up:ImproveYourFusionExperience20240618.png

As a security person working with NDA-related items, I generally don't allow the middle two options to be selected. The second ("Personalize our offers.") because that's likely going through a third party advertising chain, and I'd rather not open myself up to that.

However, the first option ("Help develop new products and services.") might be okay, if I knew that the data was staying A) in-house and B) anonymized.

This is not something I want to guess about, so I'd like an official response here from Autodesk.

Does checking either of these checkmark boxes open me up to third-party analytics or third-party data sharing?

Thanks!

Also, if anyone knows how... I am tired of this popup every time I load fusion, can you just store my preferences?

@AmarandAgasi I can check on the questions and get back to you. I am 99% sure all the data is used only in-house. I will confirm for a full 100%.

Hi @AmarandAgasi, it is all internal analytics. There used to be some Google Analytics but that was removed a few years back.

We don't currently have our own product page documenting this, but the folks in VRED have detailed what sort of data is collected: https://help.autodesk.com/view/VREDPRODUCTS/2023/ENU/?guid=VRED_Basics_Improving_ADP

Our usage is similar. We get anonymous, aggregate data like which Fusion commands get used most, etc. The second checkbox enables you to contribute to these stats.

But we also might know some unique information about you, generally related to which of our products you use - Marketing might want to put out a campaign specifically targeting commercial subscription Fusion users who have opened the Manufacture workspace, and the third box enables them to segment messaging based on that info.

Regardless, the data stays internal with Autodesk.

It should only ask once per installation. Are your user preferences as a whole being reset each session?

The only case I'm aware of in which it is designed to show repeatedly is if the previous session was on an older installation with different terms and conditions - it would reaffirm consent under the new conditions.

Lance, nope no other preferences being reset. It's been happening since around the start of the year, and I'm fully up to date.
