Importing a design with a parameter table breaks

I have a parametric design for modeled NPT threads. It generates a Male shape that I either add or subtract to a model to be able to 3-D print NPT threads. In order to set it's exact cutting depth in female threads I have to break the link after importing it and trim the end. This makes the drawing fail. (h/t to Trippy for helping me make this 2 years ago.)

I am attaching it here. Is this just a problem with breaking a link in any design with a parametric table? Or is specific to something I have done here?

I have inserted your supplied model into an assembly, broken the link, and it still functions perfectly.  You say "This makes the drawing fail"  If you are talking about a 2D drawing, it changes in the 2D drawing as well as you change the parameters in the model.

So, I opened this large project to show what happens in the NPT timeline when I break the link. I have been working on this project in 5 revisions for three months and every time I break the link I get the same thing. All of my steps are red and yellow in the activated NPT. Tonight, nothing. It works perfectly. The only change I made was to add an axis to better find the center and save the file. Perhaps it was the file was not saved in a couple of years that was causing the problem? Thank you for the help. It will greatly speed up this process as I no longer need to tap a 3D printed part with a modified NPT tap to set the depth of my mating fitting. Hopefully this will be cast in stainless shortly.
