I have tried to import svg files to use as a template or midel inside of f360. They dont look right at all. I went into photoshop and cut the background out and placed the part on a transparent BG. I saved it as a .PNG then converted to .SVG.

DOES NOT WORK. should i color the part a certain color

thanks

It would be a good idea to attach your SVG so someone can help. My guess is your SVG is still just an image, you need to convert it to vectors before saving out from Photoshop.

all I can see are the highlights-the attached fil was created on convertio.

I isolated this thing as a png in photoshop and saved as a png and tried to convert it through https://picsvg.com... Iworked beautifully but I cannot download it. It just sits there on that site as a data file or html or something inaccessible.

My system: Mac mini (2018),

3.2 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7,

32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4,

Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

The SVG file is basically empty, it is only 1 KB in size.  It opens to three small ovals.  I think your conversion got lost along the way.

This is what I get from this site but cannot figure out how to get it into F360

I want to use this as a template.

I do not have a lot experience with SVG files, all I know is they must be complete and on one plane.  What is the link the this SVG file you say you cannot download?

Hi,

that's how you do it in this case.

insert svg.gif

But I wonder what you want to do with this "graphic".

This was an example. If you sketch something out on paper, I thought you could import on to the workspace, calibrate the image. Position it on a plane below and sketch bodies and place them as a template.

at the time, i could not do anything with this. You seem to just treat it as a normal file with normal operations......i wonder if safari over here has anything to do with it.  I am going to try this.

Hi,

Here is a screencast showing a process with your "hokr" SVG file.
First you have to unfix the (green) contours.
Then you can edit them (blue) with Fusion's sketch tools.

Thank You. I kept refining the image and was able to insert onto the workspace.
