Import .jt file

I have an interest in the Bloodhound SSC project and have downloaded the full CAD (2013 version) of the vehicle in .jt format from the Bloodhound SSC web site  http://www.bloodhoundssc.com/cad-drawings

My PC has OS Windows 10 (& Windows 7 on the same PC which I have also tried), Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz with 16GB ram.

I have then uploaded the full set into a project in F360 (v 2.0.5338), the upload/translation appears to complete successfully and previews of all the components look okay however there is no preview for the top level assembly.  If I right click on any file  there is no option to open/insert etc, the options are share, upload etc. If I double click on any file (except the top level assembly) it takes me to my web browser and opens the file, this appears to be a complete 3D model of what I want in F360. All the files seem to work this way except the the top level assembly, when directed to the browser only an empty model window is visible. Any advice on opening the full set in F360, am I doing something wrong?

Hi @ken.funz,

This is likely because *.jt is not a file type fusion can upload and translate. Fusion will allow you to upload just about any file, but only specific cad formats are translatable.

That's disappointing as all of the files, including sub assemblies (except the top level assembly), open really well in the F360 app on Android.  I can however view it all in JT2GO even though I'd rather it was F360.  Thanks anyway.

Hello, why is this marked as solved when there is not a solution available to import JT files in Fusion without involving 3rd party software or am I missing something? How come it is possible to import JT files in Autocad but not in Fusion? Is there a plan to implement such feature in Fusion? Thank you.

I'm not aware of any plans to implement JT file translation in Fusion 360 and i could only guess at the reasons why its not available.
