New user, got a mesage that my MAC OS is "Not supported". OS Monterrey 12.7.6

This was not a cheap iMac to buy and is not that old! I cannot just buy a new system every three years or less.

If I cannot use the iMac, I'm sure Win 7 Pro is even less supported.

And I never allow any of my PC's to touch the Web in any case.

So am I SOL for Fusion?

@chat_unbalance895 @On your machine if this is relatively new machine does Apple allow you to move to the next macOS?

To further clarify:

1. We will not block installs or updates on unsupported OS but strongly recommend that you do not continue to use unsupported OS.
2. Especially for the Mac, the tools we use to build Fusion , often is the key reason we support only the last three versions as that is what the tools allows us to build for

If you will not uses windows and if macOS is the option and you cannot move to supported OS then yes, I would recommend that you think this through before you make a big investment in terms of time or money with Fusion as we do not want to lead you down a bad experience in the future.

Hi @chat_unbalance895, if your iMac cannot upgrade past macOS 12, that means at newest it is a late 2015 iMac, which is now a decade old. Apple stopped servicing macOS 12 on September 16, 2024.

As noted in the previous post, we do not block older versions of macOS from installing Fusion unless absolutely necessary, but we are not testing new releases of the application on that OS, either, so in the event a product issue results from use of macOS 12, we cannot help resolve it until you can first reproduce it on a supported version.

Lastly, I must caution that you may find Fusion limiting without internet access - the cloud-enabled application is designed to operate primarily online, with offline mode lasting a maximum of 14 days and many commands being inaccessible without a connection.
