I made a freeform model in fusion 360, and I want to import it in inventor with the low poly so I can edit it later.

How would I go about doing that?

What version of Inventor do you have?

What trouble are you having opening in Inventor (you could always Export as STEP)?

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

If you right click the body there is the option to save the control frame to OBJ or save as IGA. Would either of those work?

I'm using inventor 2023. The problem is if I export step, I can't edit it in the "polygon" mode, it would be just a solid not the polygon freeform thing(the purple icon thingy).

@shaki742545

I wouldn't do what @HughesTooling suggests.

I would use >>this technique<< directly

or

use STEP.

Why not model using the Form tools in Inventor?

Let me take a look at the file.

Also did you try >>this<<?

Edit: I took a look at your file.  Did you Attach the correct file?  I recommend that you start over from scratch.

Hi! There are some issues with certain Autodesk Knowledge Network pages at the moment. Here is the page you may download Autodesk Desktop Connector.

https://help.autodesk.com/view/CONNECT/ENU/?guid=Install_Desktop_Connector

Many thanks!
