I cannot seem to get the inside bottom of the sink to drain as the base is level. The second phot is what I think I should have, 4 sections that are raised at the outside edge, so that water would drain towards the drain.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to attach your model.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

Since you had already moved well beyond the design of the sink bottom, I modeled a separate sink bottom and replaced your existing one.  I have attached two files, one is the development of the sink bottom and one is your model with my new sink bottom installed.  You can use the sink bottom model to edit the slope and taper if you want something different.

John,

I will have a review of this, you are such a star pal. I cannot believe you got back to me so quick. I will let you know how I get on and thank you ever so much.

John,

I have loaded both files but have not yet figured out how you modelled this although I will work on that. What I did notice it that in the "Bathroom Sink -JRH" I cannot put any fillets on the inside of the sink but I will work on this.

I'm also curious, did you move the "Sink Bottom" model into the  the "Bathroom Sink" or remove my existing bottom and re-draw the bottom (if that makes sense)?

Kind regards,

Ken

I created a new sink bottom external component,  removed you existing sink bottom added mine in and combined it into your model.  The reason I did this was because your sink bottom was the first thing you did in your timeline and it would have created all sorts of problems to try and redesign the bottom in place.

As far as the fillets and chamfer around the drain, sorry I forgot them.  You will not be able to use a fillet due the the changing angles of the sink bottom but the chamfer will be easy to apply.  You will probably have to use a Sweep to approximate the fillet.  Attached is the model with both the chamfer and fillet added.

John,

You're amazing pal. Here is the original that I had and was trying to alter the bottom to make the sink drain properly. These are the fillets I was referring to. Sorry for all the hassle, I will figure out how you did this bottom 🙂

Kind regards,

The fillets you show in your final model were not in the original, that is why I did not do them.  In my model, due to the tapers in the bottom, the maximum fillet I can get is 9mm all the way around and in the corners.  My final model is attached.
