In an attempt to repair Fusion I used the repair too and the reinstall failed because a file was being used in another program.  I am not able to delete the webdeploy folder.

Also, when I attempt to reinstall, I get an error message saying I don't have permission even tho I am running the install as an administrator.

Can you please check out the attached file and help me with this

Thanking you in advance

@bobw1966 This is what the logs show.

adsk.dls.streamer.exceptions.PermissionDeniedException: Permission denied: File C:\Users\Bob\AppData\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy\production\37a4fdb912fcb7645f48036186017c0cc6730354\msvcp140.dll is in use.

Cancel he download and simply restart the machine. I do believe this will help.

Good morning and Thank you for your quick reply.

I've restarted my machine several times during my attempt to reinstall fusion.   I still get the same error,

@bobw1966

  1. Make sure that Fusion installer is not running in task manager
    2. Go to %localappdata%\Autodesk\ then DELETE the following folders – Webdeploy, Web Services, Identity services, Autodesk Fusion 360 ((IF you do not have any other Autodesk products installed, delete the Full Autodesk folder)
    3. Delete the shortcut that is used to launch Fusion
    4. Restart your machine
    5. Do not use the same Fusion installer. Can you please download the installer again
    6. Now install again

    Can you please try this?

Good evening sir

I cannot delete the folder webdeploy because it has 5 .dll files in it that are being used by another program.  I believe the files have something to do with my Microsoft visual c+, or+++ file.

This is where I am getting stuck in removing fusion.

Do you have any idea how  I can proceed?

Thanks

@bobw1966 If you go into your task manager and close all other applications and try to delete the folder does it help or atlas isolate which application is holding on to it?

I attempted to do as you asked.

Just so we aren't misunderstanding each other, You wanted me to go into task manager and end all the tasks that would end.  I did that and I could not end some of the tasks.  When I chose end task the process just restarted.

I then went to try to delete the autodesk folder and could not.  Please see the attached photo for the files I could not delete.  I got everything else to delete in the autodesk folder

Thank you very much for trying to help me.

@bobw1966 Are you able to rename the Autodesk folder and then go ahead with the install?
