How to turn off fusion extrude function that wants to extrude faces

When using fusion if you create a sketch on a face and go to extrude what you created in the sketch it will also let you select any other face to extrude that wasn't in the sketch. This is very annoying as it makes me click every single outline that I want to extrude which slows down my workflow tremendously.

How can I make it so when I go to extrude something it will only let me extrude from a sketch???

In my example I showed in my recording, what if I wanted to only extrude that circle drawn. How can I do that without clicking on every single other shape.

Let you select any other face to extrude that wasn't in the sketch.

Incorrect - I’ll call them inlay sockets.  Close look in the video shows you selecting sketch panels, not faces of the inlay socket.  Hide the body, you get same response / result.

You asked Fusion to Project the faces on sketch creation.  Fusion used to draw all the panels with visible (purple) boundaries, but now it draws them with Invisible Boundaries, hover over them they will highlight.

Turn off Preference setting causing your grief.

Window select the required Panels.

Pick Select each required Panel/s.

Use a workflow that suits you.

I'm not sure I follow the preference you're talking about. What or where is 'Window select the required Panels' and  'Pick Select each required Panel/s' in the preference settings?

Auto project on sketch creation, switched on, places a copy of the face outline/s into the sketch, but the boundaries are invisible, until mouse hovering highlights the respective profiles.

Window Select and self picking are not in Preferences, the selection method is on the top Menu.  Self picking is done by you, left clicking each sketch panel.
