Goal: To create 2 separate components to be 3D printed. Component 1 is the base for component 2 which is text. The text will be a new component and printed directly on Component 1.
I started off by creating two components and named them accordingly. Then selected component 1 as active, drew the sketch and extruded. Then selected component 2 which will be the text. I Googled and also tried to select the top of component 1 to sketch on but I cannot select it.
Is it possible at all and if, how. If not, is my only solution to create an offset plane from Zero and sketch on that?
