How to display just 1- insteadof leader arrows on diameter dimesions in drawings

Hello,

For some reason the diameter dimension in my Fusion 360 drawings displays 2 leader arrows around the circle, connected with a line, which makes drawings cluttered and almost illegioble!?

How do I change the  display to show just 1 arrow- outside the circle, and then the dimension digits to be horizontal and not along the leader line?  Please see the attached picture.

On all youtube drawings videos, everyone's dimensions are displayed just as I want them and they just select the circle perimeter,

which is the same that I do but my dimensions are coming out with 2 lines !?? Didn't see an option to change the leader display type.

Thank you !

Hi @fusion

Thanks for posting! I had a look into your leader question today and found that I could only get the diameter dimensions to show with a leader to only one side when working in an ASME standard drawing - it appears that the ISO standard uses the leader style shown in your screenshot at this time.

As this can cause clutter in drawings, I have reached out to the Drawings team to see if this is something that may be changed in a future update. A similar issue was reported on this thread and you can view the roadmap for Fusion 360 Drawings at this link.

In the meantime, you can work around this by using an ASME standard drawing or using the Text>Leader tool to create a leader and enter the diameter dimension manually. You can include the diameter symbol doing so.

Hopefully this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Paul,
My name’s Martin. Thank you for your quick reply.
It doesn’t really solve my problem at the moment but at least I have the ASME workaround.
Using Text leaders won’t do as those will not update with the model and would only create
confusion.
It’s a bit strange that the Fusion team has chosen 2 different display styles for ASME and ISO !?
Certainly hope that this would be fixed either by switching everything to the neat and legible
current ASME style or by making the 2 styles selectable.
Thanks again!
Kind regards,
Martin

Thanks for following up on this with us. We adhere to the ISO and ASME standards for annotations and dimensions, and since the double-arrow is the standard for ISO, that's why you're getting it on your drawing. We do not have plans at the moment to break away from adhering to the standards, so I'd recommend to use ISO if the double arrows are bothersome to you.
