How to cut off a circle?

I want to cut off a piece from a circle on sketch level. How can I do that?

I've created a circle Ø6mm and draw a construction line 4.4mm. Now I want to cut perpendicular to the construciton line. Like in the sketch below. 

I know that I could extrude only the left part - but I want it to be correct on a sketch level.
