How to change order of canvases?

I have 2 canvases placed onto the same face. I placed the second image on purpose so that it would be in front of the first image, and it worked, but when I opened the file today, the second image was underneath and I can't figure out how to bring the second canvas to the front.

Inserting a canvas creates a timeline feature. You can drag the feature icons into a different order and that also changes the order in the browser.

I tried doing that but even when I bring the second canvas after the first in the timeline, it still shows up as the canvas underneath 😞
