How do I mirror a mirrored feature?

How do create the cut in the top left hand corner?

I cut the first slit at the bottom right-hand corner, then mirrored the feature twice to create the other two. I tried mirroring the mirror (if you know what I mean), but that did nothing.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi @Anonymous ,

In the 'Mirror' command, Under Type select 'Faces' and select the mirror plane.
See if that works.
If not working, export by File>Export *.f3d/*.f3d file to your local drive and then attach it here to a Reply.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I've attached the file now.

So I selected all 4 faces and that did work. However, what if the feature is more complicated? I imagine this sort of scenario is quite common - wanting to mirror the mirror of a feature?

Hi @dsouzasujay thank you so much for taking the time to help me with this.

The second video is exactly what I'm after, and I'm able to follow through your video and did the same to my project.

However, I wasn't able to unmute the video, so I don't quite understand the concept behind the need to mirror, select the plane, then mirror the original feature. Are you able to explain in text, or maybe narrate the video (sorry if you did I couldn't hear the sound).

Thanks!
