How do I join a form to a body?

Hi. I have a form ive designed which I need to combine it with another body to make it one piece. I cant work out how to do it? is there a way to convert it to a body so I can join the 2 bodys together?

I saw in another post to use the patch tool and stitch? but i cant work out how to use them correctly...

This is really a surface/solid case, because the form has been converted into a surface body.  in this case, you can use the Replace Face command.  It won't work in all cases, but seems to work well here:
