How do I extract and save parts of a file

I was wondering if someone could show me how to save just a part of a file to separate file I have a file that was giving to me that has many different designs on it but I need to extract 1 design so i can add it to a different file im am in the process of designing any help would be much appreciated

Hi,

1. the part wanted to be save is a component

2. rightclick this component & save copy as

3. create new design (save it)

4. insert your part via drag&drop or rightclick > insert into current design

When I do that it says root component cannot be moved it wont let me select the component im wanting is there a way to break the components away from each other ?

Hi,

please share the design and  and indicate which component should be saved.

File > export > save as f3d locally  > attach it to the next post.

Hi,

export only the relevant part.
Browser > Components > Right click > Export > as attachment to the next post
