How can I make point along path start from the opposite end of the path as suggested by Fusion 360?

I am trying to create point along a path, as per Design: Solid > Construction geometry > Point along path but somehow Fusion 360 seems to start from the opposite end of the path I desire to start. There is an arrow showing the direction it will measure in. Is there a way to change this direction or the starting point?

Hopefully this video demonstrates my issues a little bit better.

No, but you can put it where it is needed by using the length of the path, and placing the point at the percentage of the length.

eg 100" length of line.  Point needed at the 60% position, would be 40% from the other end.

Might help...

That is a bit cumbersome but might work. Problem is that the length of
the path is dynamic and I need absolute distances between the points.
Doing it your way would require to calculate/know the length of the path
to place the points accordingly.

Use case is designing a staircase and the points along the path (line of
ascent) are to mark where the front of the thread should cross the line
of ascent.

Pattern in the model area, you will get all the risers (points) in one go.

Might help....
