This is expected new behaviour. In the past a lot of people did not select a model in their setup, this is incorrect workflow and can give unexpected results. When you get the warning you can either click ok and select all models or click cancel and select the models you want in that setup.

I've not tested clicking Ok for all models, not sure if it's just what's visible at the time the setup's created. @seth.madore  Any advice. My advice would be always select the models you want to machine in the setup so you don't get any nasty surprises.

As far as I know, the behavior is the same as it was before. All that's really changed is a notification that nothing was selected. It would be nice if there was a "click for more info" option that would take you to the correct tutorial explaining the importance of selecting a model when creating a Setup.

As you well know, Mark, over the years, Fusion has attracted a large segment of new users with no prior CAD/CAM experience. It's been one of my larger concerns over the last several years that we have systems in place to help those new users obtain the best possible experience they could, at that point in time. We can both look back in our posting history and see the topics that come up time and again. The Setup one seemed like a good place to start, since that really sets the foundation for how the rest of your job should be going.

Hi Mark, I must be missing something obvious here but I can not select any models when the Setup palette is visible and I am getting this error when clicking "OK" on my 2D Cutting Setup. My CAM tool path shows all paths successfully negotiated but I still get this error.

If you have sketches turned on, that will often make selection very difficult. What you will want to do is either turn sketches off, or long press the left mouse button. That will pop open a dialog giving you additional selection options.

When moving into the Manufacture environment, the very first thing you should be doing is creating a Setup, defining its orientation and selecting what Model you are going to be cutting. At the regular toolpath level, there is little need to be selecting "Model" in MOST of your daily usage (3d Toolpaths are often the exception to this statement)
