Hole and Thread Note Format

Hi there. I'm just now getting to grips with the "new" hole and thread note feature. It seems to work fine for actually picking out the hole detail but the information displayed is not in a format that is congruent with the rest of my drawings. Is there any way of reformatting the order of the dimensional info so that it better matches the rest of the drawings fro the project? It must be picking the data up from a source somewhere in the model but I can only find the displayed value and not the macro/dimension ID for that value.

Coming mainly from a ProE background, where you can call up almost any value and add it to your note, I may be asking too much of this feature but I thought it best to ask before I start reformatting.

Any help gratefully received!

Hi @Anonymous

The "Thread Note" works by picking up the edge selected, it then identifies the hole information from the model and displays it on the drawing. The formatting is based on the standard being used, either ISO and ASME (from your template).

You are able to edit the thread note, but we currently don't support adding in any model parameters or properties. When we create tools for Fusion drawings, we build them to be "on-standard", which means that out of the box, your drawings are standards-compliant.

I'd be interested to chat with you about your specific requirement. If you're up for it, here's a link to my calendar, you can set up a meeting with me and we go over your requirement on a zoom call.

Kind Regards

Hi Clint,

That actually makes a lot of sense. I think I've experienced some drift from the standard hole call-out over the years due to manufacturers requiring more concise information about the features. I'd still like to change the order of the information so I will set up a call/zoom with you to discuss.
Thank you for your time.
