Hobbyist usage of fusion 360

I am a retired hobbyist and love designing things for around the house. I downloaded the free version of fusion 360, made a box, saved it and tried again to refine it later. I cannot find it on my PC anywhere, including any start icons, so I assume I need to log-on each time. That's ok too, but when I go back to the web, it asks me to download the free trial! Do I have to do that each time I use it? I cannot help but feel I'm missing something..

There should be a Fusion icon on your desktop.

You cannot find the the design you saved on your local hard drive , unless you explicitly exported (not saved) it to your local hard drive. Fusion stores all data in the Cloud, meaning on Internet servers (Amazon AWS). Once you open Fusion, there is a data panel to the left that has your designs in it in one of the folders.

It is probably a good idea for you to go through one of the learning courses on the Autodesk Website to familiarize yourself with the basic functionality of Fusion.

Thank you very much for that fast and accurate response. When you said
there should be a Fusion icon, I did a search of the entire PC and lo and
behold, it was there, but somehow slid off-screen!
I have it back now. Thank you very much.
