Hobbyist account & files inadvertently transferred to a team hub, need access to hub.

I have a Hobbyist Fusion360 Subscription, my account and files were inadvertently transferred to a team hub.  While in the design workspace a dialogue box appeared alerting me to update and select a team hub. Unaware that this alert did not pertain to me or any Hobbyist users, I clicked on the dialogue box to update, I was then prompted to select a team hub. Once I selected the team hub, I was now part of a team hub with read only access to my files and subjected to the team hub owner’s control. Only the hub owner could give me access to my files. At the suggestion of Autodesk support I contacted the team hub administrator requesting access to my files many, many times, I received no response. I then went back to Autodesk support and asked them to intervene to contact the hub owner in my behalf or give me temporary download access to my files. They refuse to help me, stating that there is a security issue, and will not move my data or give me access to a hub.  I am not affiliated with any Corporation, LLC, Manufacturing Industry or team hub, my account is for my personal use only. My account and files were inadvertently transferred to the team hub.  I need temporary download access to my files and my account be removed from the team hub to regain my Hobbyist subscription the way it was before my update. Currently, according to Autodesk support my files reside in carolina7.autodesk360.com  If there is anyone in this forum that can help me get access to my files, I would greatly appreciate your help.

Hi,

Just this much: it has been announced and pointed out for a long time to migrate data to a teamhub. Now there is no more single user storage.

@mdazzoFG5N2 Unfortunately no one other than us as in Autodesk can look into this issue. What our support team has said is the right thing that we cannot change access to a hub on our side as that would be a security issue.

Now moving all of our single user storage hub into a team hub is part of Autodesk Fusion going to retire personal hub. So this is not based on entitlement.

When you were asked to move to a new hub, if you are not part of any enterprise you would ideals create a new hub and move all your data there and you will be the admin of this hub. Do you remember what hub you moved all you files into?

Can you please direct message me your email ID used to register for Fusion?

@Andy.Spivey @aparna_naik FYI. Not yet sure how we can help.

Hello, Thank you for your response.  My account is registered with mdazzo@carolina.rr.com    According to autodesk support my files reside in carolina7.autodesk360.com (Team racer) it's owned by jbarilka@carolina.rr.com I had contacted the owner several times and received no response. Even if he gave me access I don't know how to access them. Thanking you in advance for all your help.

Hey @RajkumarIlanchelian and @mdazzoFG5N2 ,

I can help out here as well. I took a look at the hub you mentioned and can see the the projects you are talking about (I am making assumptions about your email address based on your profile ID so take this with a grain of salt).

It looks like you are currently Inactive in the hub that the projects were moved to. You will need to request that the owner of the hub mark you as Active. I can see that you do not currently own a Team hub, so as Raj mentioned, if you are able to get access to the projects we could work on moving them to a new team hub owned and administered by you.

Thank you, Tasha. Let's connect on this to see how best we can help in this situation.

@mdazzoFG5N2 To start with we will have to create your own hub first that you are an owner of. We will work to start with that and we will attempt to connect with the customer as well.

Hi Raj, yes fusion also told me I am not active in this hub. My dilemma is I have contacted the hub owner  (jbarilka@carolina.rr.com) several times with no response! My other issue is when I attempt to create a my own hub, the links are disabled and can not proceed.

1.)Iis there another way to contact jbarilka@carolina.rr.com to get a response to become active in his hub?

2.) Must I be part of a hub in order to create my own hub where I am the administrator?

@mdazzoFG5N2 We are figuring out internally how to help out here. Both you and the other customer share the same domain. Is this an education or a some other institution email domain?

It looks like it is your network provider domain?

Hi Tasha, when I try to join team racer I get an error telling me I don't have permissions needed for this.  Is there something you can do to help with this error message?

Thanks

Hi @mdazzoFG5N2 Thank you for making a team hub. We are still looking into this internally to see what we can do.

Can you tell me how you joined this hub carolina7 in the first place (before accidentally leaving)? Were you invited to it or did you search for the hub and join yourself?

Hi Tasha, I believe I joined the hub the day of, or day after I received the dialogue box to update. Not knowing what I was doing, I joined a few hubs without asking and left each on my own. I knew nothing about the team hub stuff and by clicking links I didn't understand got myself in trouble. I inadvertently transferred my files into the team racer hub by mistake. Please let me know the what I need to do next to get my files transferred to my hub Skyprowler. Thanks for your help.

Hello Shayne or shanyne's replacement,

I have emailed you several times after you logged on to my computer and identified the problem but, you have not responded to any of my emails with a support status of the problem. I can only assume you are no longer with Autodesk, because if you were still employed, you would have at least given me the courtesy or a response to one of my emails. If shayne's position has been given to another support person, please contact me regarding the problem identified at the beginning of this thread.

Thanks

Hello Tasha,

I had been working with Shayne Prichard, he logged on to my computer through zoom (I think it was Zoom) he went into my Fusion360 account and was not able to find my models where Fusion360 said they resided. He then told me he had never seen a problem like this and said it was a Fusion360 problem and not mine! This took place about 2 months ago. Over the past month I emailed him several time requesting a status on the problem and got no response, I am wondering, maybe he is no longer with Autodesk? Would it be possible for another support technician to help me resolve this problem? I put hundreds of hours into creating my models, and paid over $1000 in tutoring to learn the program, I would hate to lose all that time, money and effort, if I have to move to another Software (which I don't want to do).  My account is registered with mdazzo@carolina.rr.com   I created my own team hub called "Skyprowler" I would like to get my models...

Please help if you can.

Thanks
