I am designing an ice-cube tray for a project, and I cannot shell the outer faces so that the ice-cube part with be left. I am using this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zN44hW9zX1I. 6:33. The shell results in an error. Please help.
The Fillet radius on the inside of your dog bone cutouts is too small to do the Shell. Also you have not added the fillet to all edges of the original dog bone cutout before you patterned because of the same issue. The model will shell fine without the applied fillets. It is attached.
EDIT: The largest Fillet that will work on all inside edges of the dog bone cutout and then shell is 0.25mm. This model is also attached.
