Help with offset! Trying to make an offset for a cookie cutter

Hi all! 

I am new to Fusion 360, but I am trying to design cookie cutters. I followed a tutorial on Youtube, and inserted the image I wanted to turn into a cookie cutter. I traced the image using Fit Point Spline. The video says the next step is to create an offset. When I try to do so, it tells me to select the curve, but I am not able to do so. Will you please help me create an offset?

Can you attach the design that you have created in Fusion 360? You can export by File>Export *.f3d/*.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply.

The sketch is created in Iso view.
Iso view looks like this:

The same sketch, Top view looks like this:

That's the only reason you cant offset the sketch.

When you are creating sketch, In the sketch palette,

• Select Look At and then create a sketch.
• Also, Uncheck 3D Sketch

And you feel the tight variable radii of this continuous spline would not prevent it being offset ?

I've attached a model with one approach to this post. I created the outline with 3-degree control point splines, but you can use fit-point splines as well. This can be offset or extruded and shelled to a degree.
