*Help needed! Can't download final rendered product to Chromebook

Hi guys,

I'm a Fusion 360 newbie and in need of some serious help. I've created a product i'm really proud of but can't seem to download it onto my Chromebook? Tried a couple of things... hear me out...

1) Final rendered version in rendered gallery, hit download at JPEG but comes up with desktop that doesn't exist on Chromebook? So can't save.

2) Cloud save so hopefully would find final rendered image in my Autodesk folder so I could share/download but no luck, it didn't save onto cloud. (and I used a credit) 😞

3) Hit 'share' when the final rendered version is open within the gallery but gives me two opinion- 1. Share to Fusion360 community (not to myself) 2. A360 - tried this but gives an error message.

Please help- all I want it to download the final rendered image to my phone and share with friends!

I have faith in you all 🙂

Kate

Hi Kate, you are right on Render output being limited on Chromebooks. When you do a render, it goes into your Render Gallery, and if you open Fusion Team (which opens on a tab on your own Chromebook), you can see the thumbnails and you can get access to a larger view. That said, it doesn't let you download.

I'm looking into a way to change the Share to A360 (broken) into a proper Share to Fusion Team that can upload the actual image at full resolution to your FT and you should be able to download from there.

At this point, the only (a bit lame) workaround I can give you is to go to Fusion Team, open the thumbnail and capture screen. If it's for sharing on the phone with friends, as you just said, it might be enough.

If you really need the real high res render, at this point your best option is to share the model with someone that has access to a Win/Mac machine with Fusion 360 and ask them to download the image for you. This is also assuming you don't have any access to one of these.

Actually, there's a workaround! If you go to this site and sign in, you will be able to download the final render into your Chromebook/phone/whatever you use.

Another option that is more direct is if you do In-canvas render, there's a Capture Image at the top of the Render toolbar. It allows you to save to Fusion Team and you can download from there.

So you have one option that can get you an output from In-canvas render into Fusion Team, and one option that can allow you to download renders that you did in the cloud (on the previous post).

This link is a life saver. I've been doing local renders on my pc, which is high-end and has no problem doing so, but for some reason, the thumbnails wouldn't open at all and I couldn't save them either.
