Having issues with generating a rectangular pattern

I am working on a scale model project that requires a anti-skid tread pattern to be modeled and Fusion 360 keeps crashing when I attempt to apply the pattern to the sketch.  Is there a way to accomplish this without having to break the pattern up which would be very difficult to alight properly or without having to draw the pattern manually?

Probably not.  I see a pattern in your pattern, pun intended, that will allow you to model just a section and then pattern the body to achieve your plate.  Fusion can handle body or feature patterns a lot better than sketch patterns.

If I manage to get all of the pattern sketched up will it still crash if I attempt to extrude them all at once or will I have to extrude each section individually?

No matter what I do the issue keeps getting worse and worse, I have attempted to sketch and extrude in sections and while that worked for not crashing immediately the more extruded sections I add the more Fusion 360 freezes and hangs up for long periods for even the simplest of actions such as creating a new sketch.

One very simple sketch.

Two very simple Extrusions.

One Pattern.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

I do this kind of patterning quite a bit.  Bodies or Features usually works ok, but if you are generating 100+ new elements your best bet is to pattern Faces, ideally on a single Body.
