Grounded Sub assemblies broken (Show stopper)

After the update on 04/09/2019, I am having an issue bringing sub assemblies into parent assemblies.  My sub assembly has a grounded component and everything is joined and operating correctly. When I drop it into an upper assembly, the joins are not recognized and the first component is not grounded anymore (Parts still acting properly in the sub assembly, but not in the upper assembly).

I am creating a "Hardware" component in the sub, grounding it, and making a rigid group with the first component to work around this issue, however the other joins are still not being recognized up stream. I have a hinged door that swings in the lower assembly, however it is floating in space in the upper assembly.

This is now a show stopper, as I cannot figure out a work around. Please provide a work around and permanent fix.

Thanks,

Nathan

@Anonymous - ground has never propagated to a parent assembly.  Lots of discussion and arguments here about whether that is a good thing or a bad thing, but I'm pretty sure it has not changed in years.  Now, if you are really losing joints on insert, that's a big problem.  Can you share a design that has joints, and which drops them when inserted, here?  Thanks.
