I also cannot add a parting operation.  This too causes Fusion 360 to crash.  I tried creating a new simple part and the same thing happens, so it isn't related to the model.  I also tried creating a new grooving tool, but same thing happens...

1) Please share the file so we can see all your settings and reproduce this issue on our end

2) What happens if you turn off In-Process Stock and all it's options:

Go to manufacturing.  Create a Turning -> Turning Part operation.  Select tool -> Local -> EMCO365 Tools -> #5 EMCO 365 DGTL 2020-4 PARTING TOOL D2.  You can then Simulate or do anything you want except Save at which point Fusion 360 crashes.  BY THE WAY, I have sent (many times) the crash log...

Oh, and I don't have In-Process Stock turned on (never got around to doing it)...

Also, i just tried creating a new tool library and re-defining my parting tool, but same result.

Your file didn't include any tools. However, I do have my own parting tool in my cloud library. Selecting that and creating a part-off toolpath did not crash. Saving the file to my cloud and then creating another partoff toolpath (and then saving) also did not crash Fusion.

Could you make a ScreenCast walking through your steps? What happens if you create a new parting tool in that document and select that instead?

See attached screencast...

Hmm, didn't post the video for some reason.  How about this one...?

I created a new tool in Cloud, instead of my Local library, but I get the same result.  I uninstalled and re-installed Fusion 360.  Same result.  I am at a loss here...

And In-Process Stock and it's display have been turned off?

It's on by default. Taken from your video:

Also, check at the bottom buttons for this:

I see there is a new feature related to using grooving tools in profiles.  I wonder if this is a bug related to that new feature?  I opened a case with support as well.  I am hoping the crash report might reveal something.  I spent quite a long time creating tool paths on a part only to have them disappear in the first crash.  I am now a day behind in getting this part on the machine.  Luckily I can post code before saving, but not being able to save makes iteration tenuous...

I thought you were talking about Preview Features.  Will try turning this off and see what happens....

Sadly, turning that off didn't fix it 😞

PS:  This is the MacOS version I am on...

Shows In-Process Stock preview feature and tool bar options both off:

Seth,

I believe I have isolated the cause of the crash.  It is something in the formatting of the comment in the Post Processor tab.  I cannot see anything in the text on my Mac installation.  I had a friend install the attached tool library on his Windows PC and it crashes there as well (even after today's update on Windows).  We could see some special character on the end of the line that does not appear on my Mac.  If I remove that comment it doesn't crash.
