Graphics problem

Not sure where to look for why this is happening but my measurements have multiple lines of color separated from each other. Many times I have to keep re selecting to find the measurement cleanly. Any ideas? I have a Computer with Nvidia QuadPro P1000 graphics card. Thanks

I do not think this is a graphic problem.  You just have on the XYZ Data option in your Measure dialog box so on a planar measurement, all three axis measures are showing on top of each other.  Uncheck the box to get one dimension between the points you select.  Take a look at the Screencast and you will see what I mean.

Thanks for the screen cast and determining it is not my graphics card. But many times I am using the XYZ delta to determine if the part is perfectly linear or not. For instance if I did the same measurement from the jaw face to the face of the part, leaving the xyz delta unchecked, I would not know there is an offset. Should it not be clean text regardless of the choice? I have attached a simple example of both choices. With the unchecked delta I am not aware there is a .002 offset on the part location. On the checked delta, I know there is an offset of .002 but the text becomes barely readable on one distance. So, it seems to me unchecked delta writes one image of text, and checked delta leaves the one image of text and adds three more images, doubling up on one that makes it hard to read. That doesn't seem right.

The command places the distance value in line between the dimension arrow heads and this is what you want, at least I do.  When the delta distances are small, something has got to overlap.  In these cases refer to the numerical value read-out in the Measure dialog box where you ca easily see the values. So, if you were the designer of the application, how would you designed these "close" value increments to display graphically?

Thanks you for the response. I believe I am not making my point clear.

When I use unchecked delta for a measurement, I get one single dimension in White. Regardless of the size of the distance I can use zoom in and out to read the number properly. This dimension is a straight line to the point distance with no reference to the X,Y, or Z axis indicators. I get it.

When I use checked delta for measurement, I actually am getting four dimensions written on my screen:

One White dimension Straight Line with no reference to the Axis indicators

One Green dimension Straight Line referencing one axis

One Red dimension Straight Line referencing the second axis

One Blue dimension Straight Line referencing the third axis

The creates an overlap with one of the axis when the straight line (white) is on the same path of XY or Z, with varying degrees of separation when I zoom in and out. At times this separation/overlap makes the text of the dimension unreadable. I will do a screencast so I can illustrate better the issue.

The fix would be to not overlap data when the Straight Line data is the same as the Axis Data or align the text so they don't have separation.

 Hope that helps.
