Graphical display issue when using Section Analysis tool

When using the Section Analysis tool, everything behind the section analysis plane disappears completely. I have tried a few different settings in Preferences > Graphics without any change. Any suggestions for how to fix this?

Windows 10, everything up to date. Thinkpad with 10GB ram and 930M GPU.

@Anonymous - can you share this model?  I've not seen behavior like this before, so I'm not sure if it is data specific, or graphics driver/settings related.  So, I'd like to try this model on my machine to see if I can reproduce it here.  Thanks.

But, I can assure you that the same issue happens with every model in every file I have tried. The functionality of the Section Analysis tool is completely broken for me.
