Fusion360 exiting right after loading screen

On Windows 10 on my Alienware 17" laptop with an Nvidia GTX 1080 (mobile) 8GB graphics card, an Intel Core i7 CPU and 64GB of memory,

my Fusion360 takes overly long on the loading-screen (about 2-3 minutes),

then the UI is visible for a split second and then the entire application is gone.

There is no error message.

  • I already updated my Nvidia graphics card driver
  • I already uninstalled and reinstalled Fusion360
  • I rebooted Windows 10 serveral times

I have a CAM project that I want to machine this weekend but for serveral days now I can't start Fusion360 to make the tool pathes.

Obviously without it starting at all,

I can't get to the menu "diagnostic log files" mentioned in the "Support Board Best Practices".

Without an error message showing,

there is also no "Customer Error Reports (CER)" screen coming up.

I have not created a "web case" or directly contacted support.fusion360@autodesk.com yet.

I have just found the "Fusion 360 Cleaner tool" and have not yet tried it.

The Cleaner tool has helped.

It took 4h on a train ride to install it again (because the installer wants to download Fusion360 every, single, time and after 200MB my bandwidth in the train gets heavily limited).

Of cause now that it's up and running, the Autodesk Servers are offline

(or so Fusion360 tells me).
