Fusion wont start at all

I just downloaded the program today and it wont boot up. I click on the icon, the startup display comes on and it just sits there. Eventually I'm told the program wont respond and I have to shut down the process. I have restarted the computer, uninstalled and re-installed the program. My searches come up with problems of people who had it working before freezing, but I cant find one that never started at all.

Gather up your Fusion 360 log files and attach them to a reply post using the Attach Section.  If you do not know how to secure your log files, follow this web article.

In the WebServices.log, I see this error saying the application is not installed properly.

I would use a Clean Uninstall of Fusion 360, and then using a Windows account that has administrator rights, turn off Anti-Virus temporarily, and then reinstall.

Did not work. I've tried clean uninstall, reset, deleted the NMachine and Loginstate files, nothing works. My computer fits the requirements and I'm at a loss on how to this working.

Exact same problem I am having. Not a novice and have worked through every solution offerred but cannot get the program to run. Was working a month ago without issue. I have posted in my own thread also.

Also the exact same problem for me. I could use Fusion 360 without any problems until about last week. Program just stuck at launch forever.

What I eventually found was that the autodesk server was holding an instance open. I installed on another machine and when I went to start I got a message saying there was already an instance running for my login. It gave me the option to kill the old instance remotely. Once I did this I was able to login on the original machine. For some reason this instance survived a number of reinstalls and all the other troubleshooting. Hope this helps.

What does "holding an instance open" mean? How can I check for this on my computer? I only have the one so installing on another machine is out of the question.

It seems like the server hangs onto your login from a previous session even after you have closed it and won't let you start a new one on the same machine.

All I can suggest is trying to log in from a different machine, maybe a friend's or something to see if it will let you kill the extra login.

This may not be your problem, but it worked for me.
