Fusion Won't start and says No Internet connection

Hi,

I tried to run Fusion but it gave an error message saying there is no internet connection and it wont start anymore.

This is what I have done so far:

- checked internet  and ran speedtest. All seems normal.

- rebooted pc

- Unchecked Read Only box for folder  C:/users/<username>/appdata/local then rebooted - twice

- Uninstalled Fusion and installed it again

- Downloaded the Fusion_360_Cleaner tool and performed a clean uninstall of Fusion 360 then reinstalled

- Checked time in windows is set to automatic

I am attaching my logs.

I was running Fusion just an hour before this happend. I have not changed any settings on PC or network or installed any software. I downloaded and ran Fusion on a spare PC on the same network and it ran fine (though this pc is very underpowered and everything is too slow to be used). So I an certain my network is fine.

Would appreciate any help !

Thanks

Your log files indicate that the installer is having a hard time because of your Windows Proxy settings.  There are two of these you need to check and turn off.  Go to your Settings and search for Automatic proxy setup.  Make sure all of the Automatic and Manual Proxy settings are turned off.  If you are required to use a proxy, make sure it is configured correctly to work with the Fusion 360 installer.

many thanks for the reply. I did have Automatically Detect Settings under Automatic Proxy Setup, on so I turned it off.

This did not solve the issue however even after reboot.

You will have to reinstall Fusion 360 or use the Fusion Service Utility to fix.  You did not get an accurate installation due to the proxy setting.

I have already tried to reinstall Fusion and use the utility several times. Since my original post, I also tried the manual clean uninstall method but nothing worked !

This is strange because I did not change anything on PC and I don't use proxies or played with the settings.

I'm attaching my last log.

This is the first time I need to look at the logs but what I could gather is that Fusion is having trouble reaching https://ui-dls360.autodesk.com/fusion/version.txt

Is this correct ?

When I enter that address in the browser, I am able to see the content of the version.txt file:

ZipFilename:fusionsrcv1102.zip
BuildVersion:v1102
BuildDate:02/20/2018
Service:FusionJS

Isn't it the expected output ? If so, why is Fusion not able to reach this file while my browser is ?

The log files says the connection was reset.  Do a search using Google for the show phrase and look at both the articles I am showing in the screen capture below.  As far as the Firewall settings, I would temporarily turn off the Windows Firewall to see if that is the issue.  I have also heard of issues due to the Autodesk Desktop App running.  You will find it under the Autodesk Folder in your program listing.  Stop it and try running Fusion 360.

I tried your suggestion regarding the firewall and it worked !

For some reason Kaspersky was blocking Fusion 360 though I did not even open Kaspersky for months. Then I tried to add Fusion launcher and other files to the exclusion list but Kaspersky kept crashing each time so I ended up reinstalling it again which seems to have solved the problem entirely.

Thanks so much for your help!
