Fusion stutters / chugs when design contains a complex mesh

Hello, Ive been doing some reverse engineering using 3D scan data. The mesh imports no worries and everything works.
But with the mesh inside the design even if i'm not referencing it, not doing anything in relation to the mesh at all, it is unselected and hidden then fusion seems to randomly freeze up for seconds at a time with certain actions but not every time for the same action.
For example i'm working on a sketch on the standard XY plane I could draw a line then hit esc to cancel further drawing and fusion will lock up for a second or so and the tree area turn black. then continue as normal
I move a body. click Ok to accept the movement... locks up for a few seconds, tree area turns black. then continue as normal
But it doesn't do it every time I do those exact same actions.
It does the same when I turn on or off those mesh's which I can understand as it has to "load/render" them but why does it do it with actions unrelated to the mesh.
