Fusion 'stuck at white screen'

When installing the Fusion 360 app on a test system (Win10 21H2), no antivirus or other software, the app will hang at a white window with the Fusion logo and AUTODESK Fusion 360 in a big font. If you click and drag at the right place, you can see an image of a login prompt beneath it. I managed to log in once and now it's stuck at the same thing, but the new 'hidden image' is a yellow illustration with 3 people and some text boxes. The title changed to Trial ends in 30 days, so it must have logged me in, but the app won't do anything else.

What is up with that?

Also how do I add a license to my own user?

The link from the guide (https://damassets.autodesk.net/content/dam/autodesk/www/fusion-360/Fusion%20Lab%20Install%20Instruct...) to https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/fusion-360-for-educational-institutions is broken

I tried installing the software with Fusion 360 Admin Install.exe --quiet as well as Fusion 360 Client Downloader.exe -o single

Update: I've now figured out that the white screen issue goes away if I update the vmware tools in the test system. It doesn't fix the question regarding how to get educational licenses though. The guide is still broken and logging in to https://fusion.online.autodesk.com/ still throws an error 500 Internal Server Error though.
