Fusion slow after break

Disclaimer: I am a rookie, working with fusion for only a few months now.

The problem: After not touching my project (an assembly with 20 components) for about 3 weeks, fusion has trouble loading my assembly and is also very slow. When I try to drag components the joints do not respond as they used to. Moving parts skip half of the movement.

Also, I used to be able to adjust multiple components and then press the "get updates" button for the entire assembly (the yellow triangle that gives the warning sign "components out of date"). Now, this gives me a "could not download the latest reference files" error message. The only way I can update them is to right-click each component, wait for about 20 seconds for the menu to appear, and then finally press "get updates" and wait at least 2 minutes before this one component is updated (even if the update is minor).

Before this break of 3 weeks, it worked perfectly, no problem whatsoever. Does anybody know what causes this? I can't get nearly half as much work done as before.

My system:

Fusion 2.0.8609

macOS 10.13.6

Unlimited amounts of love, respect, and honor for the person who solves this!! ❤️ Thanks

Can you provide a link to the project?

Thank you for your quick reply. Unfortunately, it's not possible. As a student, I had to sign an NDA to be allowed to work on the project.

What type of information do I need to provide?

Can you ask your instructor for help, or is that not permitted under the NDA?
